School Bonds

On March 3, 2020, the voters of the AROMAS-SAN JUAN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT (the “District”) authorized Measure M under the Proposition 39 statutes. Measure M authorized the issuance of $4.2 million in General Obligation Bonds (the “Bonds”). The net proceeds of the Bond were intended to be used to repair and modernize  classroom facilities; undertake seismic and earthquake safety upgrades and repairs; and qualify for state matching funds. 

On November 3, 2020, the voters of the AROMAS-SAN JUAN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT (the “District”) authorized Measure M under the Proposition 39 statutes. Measure O authorized the issuance of $30.5 million in General Obligation Bonds (the “Bonds”). The net proceeds of the Bond were intended to be used to increase student safety and school security, repair classrooms and facilities including wiring, plumbing and roofs; construct new classrooms; and qualify for state matching funds. This Measure will cover most of the cost of the San Juan School project.

On November 5, 2024, the voters of the AROMAS-SAN JUAN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT (the "District") authorized Measure D under the Proposition 39 statutes. Measure D authorized the issuance of $44 million in General Obligation Bonds (the "Bonds"), The net proceeds of the Bond are intended to be used to make critical renovations and improvements to schools and classrooms throughout the Aromas-San Juan Unified School District. This bond is primarily to support renovations to Aromas School and Anzar High School as well as fund a the completion of the last phase of the San Juan School project.

The Bond Oversight Committee is an independent advisory group responsible for reviewing and reporting on the proper use of voter-approved bond funds. Its purpose is to ensure transparency, accountability, and public confidence by verifying that expenditures are spent only on authorized school construction, modernization, and facility improvement projects.
