Program Mission
Aromas-San Juan Unified School District embraces all diverse members of its learning community and, through strong partnerships with students, families, staff, and the community, provides a safe environment where English learners grow academically, socially and emotionally. Together, we cultivate resilience, creativity, and leadership to prepare English Learners for success in a dynamic and interconnected world.
Multilingual Learner Success Plan
Our Multilingual Learner Success Plan outlines how ASJUSD supports students who are learning English. It explains the services, programs, and strategies we use to help every multilingual learner succeed in school. It includes district, state and federal policies that support multilingual learners.
“English Learner (EL)” is the official state and federal designation, while “Multilingual Learner” is used to recognize students’ language assets and strengths.The plan includes how we identify and support English Learners, how we work with families, and how we ensure students make progress in both English and academic subjects. This is a living document that will be reviewed and updated as policies, protocols, and student needs change.
