Safe Riding Rules

All students should be at the bus stop at least 5 minutes ahead of pick-up time and ready to load the bus upon arrival.  Parents who are required to meet their student at the bus stop after school must be at the stop at least 10 minutes ahead of the drop time.  Failure to be at the stop to receive your child, your child will be returned to their school at the end of the route. If a student does not ride for 3 consecutive days, the bus will not stop until a call is received to resume transportation services.

Aromas-San Juan Unified School District Students are expected to behave in a respectful manner. Please review rules with your child to ensure they understand them. 

  • Follow directives from the bus drivers and school personnel
  • Gum, candy, food, or drink are not allowed on the bus
  • Keep hands, feet, head, and all objects inside the bus
  • Remain seated in your seat, facing forward with your bottom on the seat cushion at all times while the bus is in motion. If the bus is equipped with seatbelt, students shall wear them at all times. Driver has the authority to assign seats as needed.
  • Use appropriate language –profanity, rude or vulgar language will not be tolerated
  • Speak in a quiet voice as you do in classroom
  • Rough housing or horse play, physical contact is not allowed
  • Be polite and respectful to driver and other students
  • Repairs for bus damage caused by students will be charged to the Parent or Guardian
  • When crossing the street, do so in front of the bus with the driver only
