The Aromas-San Juan Unified School District Board of Trustees is committed to serving our students, families, staff, and community with integrity, transparency, and purpose. Elected by the community, the Board is entrusted with ensuring that every student receives a high-quality education in a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Guided by our district vision — to cultivate an inclusive and vibrant community that empowers today’s students to thrive in tomorrow’s world — the Board works collaboratively with the Superintendent to set direction, establish priorities, and uphold accountability across all areas of the district.

Our Role

The Board of Trustees focuses on the “what” and “why” of district governance, while the Superintendent leads the “how.” Together, they form a unified governance team that:

  • Establishes policies that guide district operations
  • Ensures fiscal responsibility and long-term sustainability
  • Monitors student learning, well-being, and district performance
  • Engages with the community and represents public interests
  • Board members act collectively and make decisions in public meetings to ensure transparency and trust.
