The Board of Trustees provides public access to meeting agendas and approved minutes through the platforms below.

Current Meetings (March 9, 2022–Present):  Agendas, supporting documents, and approved minutes for recent meetings are available through GAMUT.

In accordance with the Brown Act, meeting agendas are posted online through BoardDocs and at the ASJUSD District Office, 2300 San Juan Highway, San Juan Bautista, CA 95045:

• At least 72 hours in advance for regular Board meetings
• At least 24 hours in advance for special meetings

Minutes are posted after they are reviewed and approved by the Board of Trustees.

Meeting Information & Public Participation: (In accordance with Board Policy 9323)

In-Person Public Comment: Members of the public who wish to speak at a Board meeting must complete a Public Comment Card, available at the meeting, and submit it to the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent before the meeting begins. Each speaker is limited to three (3) minutes.  Speaking time cannot be delegated to another person.

• Agendized Items: Speakers should indicate the agenda item number they wish to address. Public comment will be heard before Board discussion of that item.
• Non-Agendized Items: Public comments on items not listed on the agenda will be heard at the beginning of the meeting, following the Pledge of Allegiance.

Please note: Public comment is not taken on closed session items during Special Meetings.

Submitting Written Public Comments: Community members who are unable to attend the meeting in person may submit written comments by email to: msoto@asjusd.org.  Written comments must be received by 11:00 a.m. on the day of the meeting to be shared with the Board. Copies will be provided to Board members and made available to the public but will not be read aloud during the meeting.

Board Responses:  The public should note that, while we value and want to receive public feedback, board members are prohibited from commenting on, discussing, or taking action on items that are not on the meeting’s agenda. The board may provide a reference to staff or other resources for factual information, ask staff to report back to the board at a subsequent meeting concerning any matter, or take action directing staff to place a matter of business on a future agenda.
