Buenas tardes familias, Estamos en medio de un corte de energía en todo el estado por parte de la compañía de gas y electricidad, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). El apagón ha impactado a dos comunidades en nuestro Distrito. La electricidad fue cortada por la noche en nuestra comunidad el sábado, 26 de octubre de 2019, y no se espera que esté encendida hasta después de las 2 p.m. el lunes 28 de octubre de 2019. El distrito y la administración de la escuela an decidido cerrar la escuela el lunes 28 de octubre de 2019. Este cierre incluye a Mi Escuelita Pre-K ubicada en de la escuela Aromas. En este momento, se espera que la escuela esté en sesión el martes 29 de octubre de 2019, con el transporte funcionando de acuerdo con el horario regular. October 27, 2019 Good Evening Preschool Families, We are in the middle of a statewide shut down of power by Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). The power outage has impacted the two communities in our District. The Power went down in our community on Saturday evening, October 26, 2019, and is not expected to be on until after 2 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2019. The District and school site administration has decided to close school on Monday, October 28, 2019. This closure includes the Mi Escuelita Pre-K School located on the Aromas School campus. At this time, school is expected to be in session on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, with transportation running according to the regular schedule. The school and District websites will be updated related to the power outages. We thank you for your support and cooperation during this time. The District has received notification of a possible Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event. We will monitor the situation throughout the weekend with notifications to Aromas-San Juan Unified School District families regarding the impact on our schools, if any. At this time, please note that there is no identified impact. In the event we have any impacts on our schools, we will send out notifications via social media, email, the District, and school websites. All of these modes of communication are available on cell phones.

The Aromas-San Juan Unified School District covers approximately 100 square miles in western San Benito County, northern Monterey County, and eastern Santa Cruz County. The District includes the city of San Juan Bautista in San Benito County, the unincorporated community of Aromas in Monterey County, and other unincorporated areas in its three-county territory. The majority of the District's land area is in San Benito County.
