By working for ASJUSD, you not only allow staff the opportunity to engage in Professional Development and Training during work hours, you also provide the security to know they can take time if needed and their classroom or position is covered. As a Thank You, ASJUSD is proud to offer the following substitute incentives:

• Certificated or Classified substitutes who work 30 days or more in a day-to-day assignment at ASJUSD between August – December 2023 will receive a $400.00 bonus in addition to their normal substitute daily rate.  The bonus to be paid on the February 10, 2024 payroll

• Certificated or Classified substitutes who work 30 days or more at ASJUSD in a day-to-day assignment between January – June, 2024 will receive a $400.00 bonus in addition to their normal substitute daily rate.  The bonus to be paid on the July 10, 2024 payroll

Substitute Pay:

Certificated Substitutes:

• $220.00 per day for Day to Day; $120.00 for 1/2 day

• $250.00 per day for a Long Term Assignment after day 20 in the same assignment

Classified Substitutes:

• Classified Substitutes are paid Step 1 of the position they are working in on the Classified Salary Schedule
