The Board of Trustees of the Aromas-San Juan Unified School District and Dr. Michele Huntoon, Superintendent of the District, wish to inform the staff and the community of our District that Dr. Huntoon has accepted a position with a District in the Bay area and will be starting her new position on Monday, August 22. The Board congratulates Dr. Huntoon on her career move and thanks her for the six years of leadership she has provided to the District. During her tenure with the District, Dr. Huntoon has achieved many positive advances in the District. On Tuesday, August 23, 2022, the Board met to discuss the selection of an interim superintendent to serve until a permanent superintendent is appointed. Beginning on Monday, August 22, 2022, Angela Crawley will serve as acting superintendent until an interim is selected.
The Board of Trustees of the Aromas-San Juan Unified School District will continue to meet to interview and select Interim Superintendent candidates. The next closed session meeting is Thursday, August 25th at 6pm.
