Dear ASJUSD Community,
I know that sifting through our online board agenda can be a daunting task for those unaccustomed to our educational jargon. Starting this week, I am going to send to all parents and employees a simple description of topics that I believe might be of interest to you that will be on the next Board Agenda. I will title this “Board Meeting Preview.” Some of these topics are informational and some are items on which the Board may take action or may make a decision. Within a few days after the Board Meeting occurs, I will send out a summary of some of the more important decisions or actions the Board did take at that meeting. I will call this second communication, “Board Highlights.” My goal is to open up communication lines and be more transparent about the great work that is occurring within Aromas-San Juan Unified School District.
I invite you to communicate with me with more ideas about how to accomplish this and to let me know if these two forms of communication are beneficial! I also invite you to join us at a Board Meeting to see us in action or to join virtually via zoom. I am also looking forward to meeting many of you at the coffees that I have been attending with each principal at their school site. We have a great Board and a hardworking team of administrators, teachers, and staff. I am very excited to be working alongside them as we serve the needs of our students.

PS - Our next Board Meeting is October 19, 2022 and Open Session starts at 7 pm. Location is in the District Office Annex.
