NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR CONSIDERATION OF AN ENERGY SERVICES CONTRACT
Pursuant to California Government Code 4217.10 -.18, the Governing Board of the Aromas-San Juan Unified School District will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at Aromas School, 365 Vega Street, Aromas, CA 95004, to consider approval of an Energy Services Contract. The Board will consider whether the anticipated cost to the District for services under the proposed agreement will be less than the anticipated marginal cost to the District of energy that would have been consumed by the District in the absence of the proposed agreement.
Written comments may be submitted to Michele Huntoon, Superintendent, 2300 San Juan Highway, San Juan Bautista, CA 95045, prior to the date and time of the hearing. For further information, please call the District Office at (831) 623-4500.
If you challenge this matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearings regarding the projects described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the appropriate authority at or before these hearings.

Poetry Out Loud 2019 - Anzar wins again!
It was that time again, for the San Benito County Poetry Out Loud competition. For the fourth consecutive year, Anzar hosted this county event and won! Students from Anzar and San Benito High Schools competed for the county honors. From Anzar, Norberto Murillo, Santino Leahy and Xavier Guaracha competed, and sophomore Santino Leahy won first place. He will be moving on to the state competition in Sacramento next month. This year, senior Cesar Avila and his friend Devon Hubert provided music between poetry sets. Thank you to Ms. Deckelmann for coaching the students this year again.
